July through September of 1970, Elvis did a documentary of himself in the making of the music and performance. The film was called "Elvis: That's The Way It Is". It was filmed through over 6 different shows at the International Hotel In Las Vegas, Nevada. during the years of 1968 to 1970 were to be known as Elvis' best years of his life. He was fit, knee deep into Karate, and he was eating well. The credit of the film and the making goes to veteran, Denis Sanders. Sanders thought that showing Elvis at his best would be the greatest thing for the king. The film shows footage of Elvis being himself; Candid moments; Rehearsals; and a few spectacular performances by one of the greatest entertainers of all time. By watching the film, you begin to realize what Elvis had to do to prepare for each showing. There was a lot of work involved. Through the film, there's a lot of talking, fooling around and information about Elvis. Elvis talks about how him and the band having to rehearse over 75 different songs. Whether they were his songs or somebody else's.
During the song "Love Me Tender, Elvis goes into the crowd all over the place kissing women and shaking other men's hands. The song goes on for about 6 minutes. Once again, the creater of Elvis' out-fit is Bill Belew. There were several out-fits during the 6 showings. The only way to really explain this film is for everyone to see it for themselves.
